85% of consumers trust online reviews as much as personal recommendations.

  • Consumers read an average of 7 reviews before trusting a business.
  • Survey respondents listed Yelp and Facebook as the most trusted review sites, followed by Google and BBB.org.

The most important place is Google, followed closely by Yelp and Facebook.

Experts also recommend focusing on one or two industry sites as well.
